Stellite alloys ORIC Italiana S.r.l.
Stellite alloys. ORIC Italiana S.r.l. produces and sells Stellite in all its forms. Stellite is a Cobalt alloy with excellent resistance to wear, corrosion, abrasion and erosion, maintaining its characteristics across a wide temperature range. For these properties, Stellite is increasingly used where there are very severe conditions of use.30
Stellite Family: Stellite
The Right Tool for the Job. The Stellite alloys are mostly cobalt based with additions of Cr, C, W, and/or Mo. They are resistant to cavitation, corrosion, erosion, abrasion, and galling. The lower carbon alloys are generally recommended for cavitation, sliding wear, or moderate galling. The higher carbon alloys are usually selected for abrasion, severe galling, or low angle erosion. 32italy 32italy

What is Stellite and what is it used for
Nov 13, 2016 0183 32Stellite 174 is a nonmagnetic alloy which contains a variety of different metal components with the main elements being cobalt and chromium. The material itself has been around since the 1900s and was originally seen as a substitute for traditional metal cutlery which suffered from general wear and tear and was also prone to staining. 32italy 32italy

Our Company History
Sales grew and revenues for STELLITE 174 alloy exceeded 1,000,000 in 1916. The company was selling more volume in a month than previously had been sold in an entire year. By 1918 sales were about 3,600,000. The use of STELLITE 174 alloys for lathe cutting tools was largely responsible for this rapid growth. The tools became so popular that ...
